16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence – Sphere 17

16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual global campaign running from 25 November to 10 December, calling communities to unite, raise awareness, and take action to end violence against women and girls.
This year’s theme, “End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” highlights the growing impact of online abuse and the need to create safer digital spaces for everyone.  Sphere 17 is part of a local Women’s Committee, made up of a wide network of local community, youth, family, legal, wellbeing, and safety services.  We have come together in partnership to host a shared event dedicated to support, awareness, and empowerment.
Join us on Thursday, 4th December 2025, from 11am to 1pm at Sphere 17 RYS, Darndale, for a vibrant and inspiring community event! Explore a variety of interactive information stalls, enjoy holistic wellbeing sessions, let the kids have fun with exciting activities, and discover educational videos. Plus, treat yourself to a delicious brunch, take home a special gift bag, and experience so much more. There’s something for everyone- come, connect, and be part of the change!
This collaborative event represents our commitment to standing together, supporting our community, and promoting safety, solidarity, and positive change around Domestic, Sexual & Gender Based Violence.
