On Wednesday, 1 March, young people from Sphere 17 Kilbarrack and Bonnybrook screened their selection of short films, which they chose as part of the Dublin International Film Festival Young Programmers group.In the three months leading up to the event, our dedicated and committed group of young people met weekly to review 13 short films and were tasked with selecting five to be screened at St Benedict’s Resource Centre in Kilbarrack.The films covered a range of themes, and we were honoured to be joined by 3 of the films Directors along with a Producer and Actor. Following the screenings, our young people had prepared a Q and A session for the film makers and this was very insightful. We would like to extend our thanks to Dublin International Film Festival for the opportunity and to Creative Places Darndale who were so kind to support this screening event.
