The purpose of the day is provide these young people with a day of fun activities celebrating their ‘Big Move’ with their families and friends while encouraging them to get to know other young people who they may meet again in their new schools in September. This year the popular activities included Giant Fuse Ball, Gladiators, Volleyball, Splashboards, Capoeira (Brazilian Dance), face painting, tug-a-war and the BBQ. Once again we had great support from St. John’s Ambulance and a special thank you goes out to Pauline and Bill from Bradog Youth Service, the young people who spoke live on Near FM, the MIC Project, the Brookhaven all of whom helped us out on the Day and a big pat on the back to the organising team of Sue, Carol, Blayds.
