Flora Women’s Mini Marathon 2009

Fair play to the young men who participated in the Flora Women’s Marathon in June! The guys did their bit for the Dublin Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) and got dressed up as women in order to enter the mini marathon. The day was good fun and sunny (surprising!) but I think the highlight was the fact that they left 2 Youthworkers struggling to catch up and complete the event! Good on you lads!!

Bonnybrook ran 3 weeks of open activities this month which took us to the beginning of Summer Sphere! There were plenty of activities to choose from such as Newbridge Farm, Go Karting, Fortlucan and many more!

Reel Youth 2009

Well done to Lorna Reid, Linda Emmett, Dawn Cowap, Carl Stringer and Shannon Kearney who participated in the "Reel Youth" filming festival this year. The theme of the film was "identity" and we spent 1 week filming in St Monicas Youth Centre. The week was enjoyed by all and we are looking forward to the screening of our film in September!
