Pottery Exhibition

A pottery exhibition took place on June 21st in the Regional Youth Facility Darndale. This exhibition showcased the work of groups from the Darndale and Bonnybrook areas. It displayed the work at various stages and exposed lots of other young people to the art of ceramics. Over the last number of months Pat the pottery facilitator has been working with both these groups and she was kind enough to give a pottery demonstration on the night. Well done to everyone involved!!

Galway World Cup

Galway Goal World Cup champions again despite tough competition from 32 other teams and some of the wettest weather this year the team spirit, determination and hard work as well as a few hard (not dirty) tackles by the Sphere 17 footballers saw the galway Goal World Cup Trophy returning to Dublin 17 for the second year in a row. Sphere 17 team were the first team in the competitions history to complete this challenge. A short film documenting their victory will be screened on Monday the 11 th July in Priorswood Youth Activity Centre.

Reel Youth

Sphere 17 took part in this years Reel Youth Film Festival which took place from June 20th - 24th. During this time we made a ZOM COM movie which will be screened in the theatre in the Sean O Casey Community Centre in Eastwall in September. We are all looking forward to seeing the final cut. We will upload the movie to Youtube, the website and our Facebook pages in September so watch this space! Well done to all involved!!
